THE BRITISH EXCELLENCE IN SALES & MARKETING AWARDS
The British Excellence in Sales & Marketing Awards (BESMA) represents the UK's largest level of recognition for outstanding sales achievement. Organised by The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM), BESMA is the benchmark standard in its field.
This year the awards event is taking place at the Lancaster London Hotel, Hyde Park on Thursday 27th May 2010. The award objectives are, but not limited to:
- To contribute to raising the profile and status of professional selling & selling practices
- To recognise and reward achievement in all categories of sales & marketing
- To acknowledge the vital role sales personnel play in today's fast-moving climate
- To motive sales personnel to sell more to raise profitability
- To demonstrate the value of technology in business performance improvement
The shortlisting for BESMA is now complete. All of the well-deserving finalists undertook the ISMM's Judging Day which was held at Ashridge Business School on the 30th March. Subsequently the selected winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner on the 27th May.
There are several award categories, namely:
- Sales/Sales & Marketing Director of the Year (inc. from the SME sector)
- Sales Trainer of the Year
- ISMM Student of the Year
- Sales Manager of the Year
- Sales Professional of the Year (inc. from the SME sector)
- New Sales Professional of the Year
- Sales Support/Customer Service Team of the Year
- Telesales Professional of the Year

Brian Taylor, Managing Director of Workforce Wellness Ltd will be attending the BESMA event on the 27th May following his successful nomination of James Henson, Sales Director of Health Matters (UK) Ltd for the Sales Director of the Year Award. Health Matters is a supporting Intermediary (Broker) to Workforce Wellness assisting with client interest for such services as Private Medical Insurance (PMI), Group Life Cover and Income Protection.
Incidentally Brian Taylor is a Fellow of The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM), elected as a Fellow back in May 2002.
